Our Vision Statement

“Our desire as a dynamic church, proclaiming the Word of God, is to make disciples of Christ by:

-exalting God; reaching out to the broken hearted, wounded and hurting people around us and leading them to Jesus;

-encouraging Christians to consecrate themselves to God’s purpose in their lives;

-and equipping believers for effective ministry in the Cashiers area and beyond.”

Vision Elements

1. That Grace would be a place of vision, hope and healing; where people can come and be impacted spiritually, physically and mentally by God’s healing presence and touch.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       2. That Grace would be a “safe” place for people to come and hear the gospel in an atmosphere of love and acceptance, having their needs ministered to without a critical or judgmental spirit.

3. That Grace would be a congregation of individuals who have a dynamic relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and who are actively pursuing God’s purpose for their lives.

4. That Grace members would be characterized by people who know and understand what their spiritual gifts are, how to use them, where to use them, and when to use them, in ways that will encourage and bless others.

5. That Grace would provide ministry and facilities for children and young people to serve the needs of the member’s families.

6. That Grace would actively participate in mission ministries, through financial contributions and members’ personal participation, both at home and abroad.

7. That Grace would provide anointed praise and worship that would exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and edify the congregation.

8. That Grace would be a church of small groups, meeting in homes, enabling people to experience the joy of belonging through the development of close, interpersonal relationships.

9.  That Grace would not be a church that lives unto itself, for itself, but through community involvement, working together with other churches. Reaching out to those in need, Grace would take its care and gifts outside the walls of the church building and membership.

10. That Grace members would know the value and privilege of tithing regularly to the  church, and of the giving of offerings, with financial accountability coming from an objective finance committee.

11. That Grace would value, train, develop and use prayer warriors and intercessors.

12. That Grace would have an adequate, debt-free facility, providing enough space to worship together; enjoy fellowship with one another; and teach and train its members.
